Our History
The BnD Foundation was established to honor the lives and legacy of Bhuminanda and Dhaulidevi Timilsena, a humble couple from the remote village of Kuika in Achham, Nepal. Born in the early 1930s, their lives were marked by hardship, resilience, and a deep-seated hope for a better future—not just for their family, but for generations to come. Moved by their values of selflessness, courage, and determination, their descendants founded the BnD Foundation as a living tribute to the love and sacrifices of Bhuminanda and Dhaulidevi. What began as a personal story of overcoming adversity has grown into a mission-driven organisation committed to creating lasting change for disadvantaged communities across Nepal and Australia.

Transforming Futures Through Education
Education is one of the greatest equalizers in life. In rural Nepal and among marginalized groups in Australia, educational access remains a challenge. To address this, BnD Foundation launched its Math Mentoring & STEM Support Programs, benefiting over 100+ underprivileged students and dozens of migrant childrenThese initiatives help students build confidence in core subjects and inspire curiosity in science and technology—empowering the next generation with tools to succeed.
A Foundation to Empower the Forgotten
Established in 2023, the BnD Foundation was created to fill the critical gaps left by mainstream support systems—especially for the most vulnerable: women, children, seniors, refugees, and families affected by poverty and social exclusion.
Our Community Care Projects support access to food, hygiene, emergency relief, and basic healthcare. By partnering with local volunteers, schools, and grassroots groups, the Foundation reaches people who are often overlooked—ensuring they are seen, heard, and cared for.

Meeting Basic Needs With Dignity
Inspired by Bhuminanda and Dhaulidevi’s own struggles with hunger and poverty, the Foundation runs essential care initiatives that include meal distribution, hygiene kits, and clothing support. Thousands of items have been delivered to families in need across Nepal and Australia—with dignity, respect, and community spirit.
Honoring Legacy, Building the Future
As the BnD Foundation grows, so too does our commitment to our founding values. We are currently exploring new models to expand impact—through partnerships, scholarship programs, women’s empowerment training, and sustainable development projects.
Bhuminanda and Dhaulidevi’s story lives on—not just in memory, but in every life touched by our programs. Their legacy is a beacon of hope, reminding us that compassion, when put into action, can transform the world.
